We the people who believe in privacy and security, are coming to you with new outreach to keep you up to date with our technologies.
Media Changes
Lumonality has a news feed, with that, this will be the start of a Bi-Monthly statement where we will address changes and future updates to Lumonality and its software. Though these articles will contain more than just statements, using this feature we will alert users of new content, outages, changes in privacy, and other announcements that we want users to learn about. This article specifically will start this chain and we will be discussing the upcoming changes to Lumonality. So start let’s talk about our media presence first. What you are reading right now is part of the changes to our media outreach. We have released this news station to better connect with our audience. These articles are the main method to communicate to our audience about various topics.
We also now have a Twitter, @lumonality, where you can be alerted to these articles being posted, as well as see exclusive content on upcoming projects. Twitter will be our way to reach out about in-the-moment issues, such as downtime.
Account Changes
We will start this one with a few changes coming up. In the coming months, we plan to add a plethora of security features to the Lumonality Nautilus Account. These features will include
- IP location validation, to make sure that bad actors don’t log in to your account somewhere else
- Two-step Email Verification, where an email will be sent to your account with a link to verify that you are the person trying to sign in
- Application Permission, applications can request higher permissions for your account to view specific information such as your email, domain, and friends list. You may accept or decline certain permissions to keep your account as safe as you’d like it.
These features are expected to make your Lumonality Nautilus Account more secure by giving you more control over your security.
Upcoming applications
If you are a developer, you may be pleased to hear about ParseXL coming to the web, it is still in an early stage, but we plan to bring the Excel to JSON translation layer onto the web with the use of an easy Rest API. ParseXL allows applications to read and write MS Excel files with the use of the JSON format. Because it will be a web-based app, any type of application with internet access can use this tool.
Business Features
If you'd like to post your own articles, you may want to prepare for Lumonality Office. Lumonality office is a way to give domains an easy way to share content within their domain. Lumonality office planned to have an announcement system similar to these articles, as well as a basic project and inventory management system. We also plan to integrate a help desk and ticketing system into this suite of applications. While it is still a ways away from public release, we hope it will help those in smaller businesses who need it.
Lumonality is ever-changing and with the introduction of these articles, we can now show our users what is going on behind the scenes.
